This A5 Print is one of the first drawings I did that made me feel like an artist. I wanted to evoke the fact that classical sculptures (since are often censored) capture transgender identities due to the mythologies that contain gender-explorative elements. I hoped with this piece to draw focus to the types of bodies that are censured, idealised and celebrated in culture today, and create a neoclassical icon that I would like to see! I love this so much the original is framed in my room, I hope you enjoy it too!
Printed on 250 gsm china-white card.
